Following group trips in El Calafate Patagonia, we decided to have a suffer fest. After a grueling hike we had a 55km drive ALL ON DIRT to get from the trailhead back to our AirBnB. We quickly realized we had no gas, no range estimate or cell service. We held our breath, coasted every downhill in neutral, and cursed every uphill. Somehow, we made it back and had a good laugh over a bottle of wine. To this day we have no idea how that silly little Nissan Versa did it.

The Trona Pinnacles are an authentic hidden natural wonder of the Mojave Desert, in Southern California. This place is often overlooked by most, but in my opinion, its one of those places that is really worth seeing. It’s really hard to describe the feeling you get when you stand before such a surreal landscape.

Traveling with the family is always an exceptional adventure, but our trip to Pismo Beach / Oceano Dunes was truly remarkable due to its unique feature of beach driving –a rare opportunity in California. The picturesque coastline served as a stunning setting as we cruised along with the top down, relishing the refreshing ocean breeze. The children had a blast, immersing themselves in the sand, gleefully collecting seashells, and making cherished memories that will be forever treasured.

AIMEE AND CHASE BARTEE

Chase really thrives in technically challenging fishing environments. Bow and arrow cast? He’s basically an expert. Tiny flicks and roll casts and the immense amount of patience that goes with this kind of small stream fishing is his absolute forte. Me, not so much - you can find me cursing out a shrub or tree, spooking fish, and mostly giving Chase the go ahead to fish most pools while I watch.

Found a great camping spot just a few yards away from an epic MTB trail! Had to off road almost 15 miles to get here, but my Bronco Sport and Toyo AT3’s made it an easy and comfortable ride. Definitely saved the coordinates for next time!
