WHEATLAND, MISSOURI – Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp (Toyo Tires®) kicked off the 2025 Championship Off-Road (COR) racing season with a strong performance, capturing two class wins courtesy of drivers Ryan Beat in Pro-2 and CJ Greaves in Pro-4. The action unfolded at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri, a 1.2-mile premier short course track known as the “Diamond of Dirt Tracks”. With a fast-paced track design featuring towering jumps, sweeping corners, and a thrilling over-under bridge section, the venue set the stage for an exciting opening weekend to kick off the COR race season.
In Saturday’s Round One, Ryan Beat powered his #51 Bilstein / Toyo Tires / Lucas Oil / Chevrolet truck to victory in his first Pro-2 win of the year. Equipped with off-the-shelf 35x12.50R17 Open Country® C/T tires, Beat took the lead early and never looked back.
Sunday’s Round Two saw CJ Greaves claim the top spot in the Pro-4 class behind the wheel of his #22 Monster Energy / Toyota / Toyo Tires Pro-4 truck. Depending on off-the-shelf 35x12.50R17 Toyo Open Country® R/T Trail tires, Greaves secured his first win of the season, continuing the momentum from his 2024 championship-clinching victory at last year’s Crandon International Raceway finale. A nine-time Pro-4 champion, Greaves once again demonstrated why he is a dominant force in the sport.
With a strong start to the year, both Team Toyo drivers now lead the championship points standings in their respective classes, setting the tone for what promises to be a thrilling 2025 season.
“Winning the COR season opener on Saturday was an incredible start to the season,” said Ryan Beat. “Backing it up with a second-place finish on Sunday is a true testament to our race team and to the dedication of our partners, like Toyo Tires, who believe in our success.”
“Our first time at Wheatland shaped up to be a crazy weekend of racing,” said CJ Greaves. “I’m glad we were able to pull out a win on Sunday on our trusted Toyo tires and now we’re getting ready for the next rounds in Antigo.”
“Team Toyo drivers continue to dominate in the COR series, picking up right where they left off last year,” said Stan Chen, senior manager, events, sponsorships and motorsports, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. “This is another year of championship aspirations for both CJ and Ryan, and there’s no better way to start the season than with two race wins and phenomenal performances on a tough short course.”
The COR series will travel to the Antigo Lions Roaring Raceway in Antigo, Wisconsin for the Antigo Off-Road National on June 6-8, 2025.
