SPARKS, NV – Kyle LeDuc and Toyo Tires® captured back-to-back victories in the Pro 4 Class of the Lucas Oil® Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) this past weekend. This victory came during Rounds 5 & 6 at the Silver State Showdown Double-Header on the 1.5-mile Wild West Motorsports Park in Sparks, NV. The race complex is located 10 minutes from Reno.
Qualifying for the Friday night races was cancelled due to rain. LeDuc started Friday’s Round 5 main event on the pole due to his being number one in the 2019 series points. His #99 Monster Energy / Toyo Tires / WD-40 Ford truck relied on Toyo® Open Country® race tires to help him sweep the weekend’s races.
“Our team came to Reno with one thing in mind, dominate,” said LeDuc. “We did just that with Toyo pushing us to the top of the charts in both rounds of racing.”
“We congratulate Kyle LeDuc on capturing back-to-back wins in the Pro 4 class in Reno,” said Stan Chen, senior manager of events and sponsorships, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. “This makes it four wins out of six races this season, leaving Kyle firmly in charge of the 2019 championship points while using our Open Country race tires.”
LeDuc is a five-time Pro 4 Class Champion, four of those being consecutive from 2014 to 2017. He is also a four-time winner of the prestigious Lucas Oil® Challenge Cup. This season he has won Round 1 at Glen Helen in California; Round 2 in Chandler, Arizona; and now Rounds 5 & 6 in Reno. His Round 6 win represents LeDuc’s 96th career win overall with 90 of those on Toyo Tires. LeDuc has his sights set on winning championship number six in 2019 and hitting the mark of 100 overall career wins.
Only three more rounds remain to decide the championship, all taking place in October. Rounds 7 & 8 will take place October 5 & 6 at the Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, CA. The final round, Round 9, and the Lucas Oil® Challenge Cup race will take place October 26 at the Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, AZ.
